We employ selfless college age individuals who enjoy working outdoors and investing their time in young campers. Camp counselors live on site all summer long, staying in cabins for three weeks. Most importantly, our counselors are expected to interact with campers and foster an encouraging and wholesome atmosphere.
Qualifications of a Cotubic Summer Camp Counselor
Camp Cotubic hires college-age individuals (high school grads) who are willing to selflessly love our campers, work hard, and grow spiritually. Although counselors will gain and grow a lot during a summer at Camp Cotubic, we are looking for special individuals who are willing to give, not those seeking personal gain from a summer job. Our staff puts campers first, building meaningful relationships with campers while leading them in engaging activities.
Summer counselors at Camp Cotubic share in the responsibilities of:
- Lifeguarding
- Facilitate ropes courses
- Serving meals
- Assisting in leading games and various activities
- Investing in the lives of our awesome campers

Spiritual Growth at Cotubic
Pray and engage with students
As a Christian summer camp, our counselors pray with students and engage with them in spiritual conversations. Our staff participates in group devotionals and personal bible study, seeking to learn more about the character of Christ while serving others. To be considered for summer employment, applicants need to focus on investing spiritually in campers. A summer counselor job at Camp Cotubic is fun and rewarding, but the goal is always for the campers to have the best week of their summer.

The Application Process
After you send us your completed application and references, you will be contacted by our program director for a potential interview. Due to the sensitive nature of working with kids, we require all prospective employees to pass a background check to ensure he or she has no criminal history. If you are interested in becoming a Camp Cotubic camp counselor this summer, please apply before the end of February.
